Posted: July 13, 2021 in Uncategorized

To start off, The Jazz Perpetrators will be providing their patented casual background groove for their second jazz brunch appearance of the year at the Eastport Blackwall Hitch, located near the Annapolis City Dock at 400 Sixth Street on July 25th. As always, the Hitch’s well known Sunday brunch opens at 10 am, with The Perps performing until 2 pm.

And on August 1st, The Perps jazz up Brian Boru Irish Pub in Severna Park at 489 Ritchie Highway #103 from 3 to 6 pm for their inaugural performance at that location! Joining The Perps for the first time in over a year will be Sterling Dorn, their R&B and smooth jazz master vocalist to provide that extra special musical twist!

So if you’re eager for a bit of “low volume/high spirits” entertainment, with real people, in a real location, join The Perps in person on one, or both of these dates, you’ll be happy you did!

Stay safe and stay cool! — The Jazz Perpetrators

As they have for the last several years, The Jazz Perpetrators are again supporting their friends at the Goshen Farm Preservation Society during their annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction event — with a twist!

Originally scheduled for the 15th of August as an in-person bash, the Society has decided to transform the fundraiser into an on-line PHANTOM event due to the concerns and regulations resulting from the pandemic. It all happens via Google Meets this Saturday, 22 August 2020 from 5 to 6PM. You provide the libations, the Society the chance, and The Perps the entertainment!

To purchase a raffle ticket, check out the Society’s website for detailed raffle and donation information at: https://goshenfarm.org the event can be found under the “Upcoming Events” pull-down. But be fast! All ticket purchases close on August 20th.
To view the event, use the URL “meet.google.com/css-frug-icq” for access, but only the first 100 people will be allowed in the event!

Stay home, be safe and they won’t see you on the 22nd!

Your favorite musical miscreants, The Jazz Perpetrators, will be doing their thing in a socially responsible way on the streets of Annapolis this coming Sunday, June 28. The exact location is 63 Maryland Avenue, the address of Galway Bay, Annapolis’ premier Irish pub.

The Perps will be performing from 4:30 until 8pm in front of the pub, providing their patented “high spirits low volume” approach that allows patrons to enjoy the music while dining and conversing without needing to revert to sign language or ear plugs.

This will be the first Perps performance since the lockdown was instituted over three months ago, and they’re looking forward to seeing everyone once again in a safe and enjoyable  setting.  So grab your mask and step out for some excellent repast and refreshing music. See you there!

Keeping in mind the time-honored observation that “idle hands are the devil’s workshop,” the Jazz Perpetrators have been keeping their respective mitts busy working on some new tunes while sequestered separately at their respective abodes.

After weeks of working on their own, our musical miscreants recently assembled way out in the country at Stu’s agrarian hacienda musicale (socially distanced, of course) to put the pieces together and make a hell of a racket.

General consensus: sounds good. Stay tuned for more.

Back to Brunch

Posted: March 10, 2020 in Uncategorized

Music may be, as the bard once said, the food of love, and when you put music and food together, what’s not to love? The music and food on the schedule this weekend are The Jazz Perpetrators and the Annapolis Blackwall Hitch’s Sunday brunch – it’s a combination that can’t be beat.

The band’s patented “high spirits, low volume” approach is the perfect complement to the Hitch’s renown bountiful brunch. Music starts at 10am and runs until 2pm. As with all previous performances at the Hitch, this will be an all-instrumental appearance.
