In what has by now become a time-honored tradition, The Jazz Perpetrators will once again be performing at the Homestead Gardens Fall Festival. The Perps will play on the “hay, how are ya?” west field stage from 10:30am until 2:30pm this Sunday, October 27, the final day for this year’s festival. This annual event is held next to the store’s main location at 743 West Central Avenue in Davidsonville, just south of Annapolis.

As always, The Perps will be pumping out a blend of swingin’ jazz standards and classic Motown and Memphis R&B hits guaranteed to wrap up the festival on a high note.

In addition to the band’s featured outdoor performance, the festival will also include lots of kid-focused family activities such as tractor rides, a hay maze, a pipe slide, and a game tent sponsored by My Gym. And don’t forget our barnyard buddies – baby goats, donkeys and miniature highland cows, all ready to meet and greet you!

So come on down and have some pre-Halloween family fun – you’ll be glad you did!

The band’s Sunday afternoon performance runs from 4 to 7 pm, the perfect time to wrap up the weekend on a relaxing note instead of sitting in traffic on the way home from the beach.

As an extra special musical treat the band will be joined by guest singer Tyrone Armwood, who not only sings but also plays a mean trombone (and he’s got a green sweater, too). Occasionally The Jazz Perpetrators pause in their ever-hopeful pursuit of fame and fortune to do some good for others. Specifically the band annually lends their dulcet tones to a cause near and dear to them, the Goshen Farm Preservation Society’s annual fundraiser, the Java & Jazz, Tea & Tunes event, which is open to the general public. The Perps will be doing their hootin’ ‘n tootin’ from 3 to 5pm, joined by their vocalist, the one-and-only Sterling Dorn, who’s guaranteed to make it an afternoon to remember.

The sippin’ & swingin’ takes place this Sunday, March 10th, at the Cape St. Claire clubhouse located at 1223 River Bay Rd, Annapolis, Maryland. Refreshments include free appetizers and complimentary coffee and tea as well as wine and specialty adult coffee at an additional cost. While this is a free event, donations are deeply appreciated, so come on out and hear some great music and support a good cause.
