“It’s too hot, I lost my lottery ticket, my cousin Sally Mae’s coming to visit from West Virginia and I can’t find my little blue pills.” Enough with the whining already – the only wine you should be concerned with is the one that comes in a bottle. And the best ones we can think of are available at Bella’s Liquors, which is sponsoring the Goshen Farm Preservation Society’s annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, to be held on Saturday, August 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the home of Valerie Sullivan located at 1504 Stacey Lane, Annapolis, MD 21409. Free parking for the event will be available behind Bay Area Insurance (818 E. College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409).
In addition to spirits, attendees will enjoy a variety of tasty treats provided by Chef Art Lewis, an amazing array of silent auction items, and music by the “low volume/high spirits” Jazz Perpetrators. A $20 donation (tax deductible!) will get you in the door, with all proceeds going to support Historic Goshen Farm.
So stop whining and start wining, dining, dancing, and bidding for a good cause – we’ll see you there. And just remember, if anyone asks you later on, we weren’t the ones who spilled wine on the carpet!
