The Jazz Perpetrators were faced with a choice: pay their musical debt to society either by picking up trash along the highway in the heat of the day or by playing jazz in the cool of the evening. Taking the advice of their entertainment lawyer, the band opted for the latter option while retaining the option to heat things up over the course of the evening.
The Perps will make their monthly appearance at the John Barry Pub this Friday, July 14. The fun starts at 7:30 and goes to 11pm or whenever their parole officer shows up. Once again their special vocalist Sterling Dorn will make with the singin’ & the dancin’ & the swingin’ & the swayin’ as he adds his special touch to the band’s entertaining blend of jazz classics and smooth R&B.
The pub is at street level in the O’Callaghan Hotel located at 174 West Street near downtown Annapolis. The hotel is just a short stroll along West Street from Church Circle, and if you’re driving, take advantage of the free valet parking in the hotel’s private lot.
